This painting was part of a series of interactions between characters, in this one my focus was on role reversal. I think women and men normally get labeled a certain way, with men being more likely to cheat and women in the role of the clingy, suspecting harpy. Of course, this isn't true-there are male and female players all around us every day, and good, loyal people too! So in this one I decided to focus on the woman having the wandering thoughts and a questioning gaze, with a man who is relaxed and blissfully unaware of how she is feeling.

The title "I'll Never Give My Game Away" was a paraphrase of Roisin Murphy's lyrics from her song entitled "Pandora". I was listening to a lot of her music while creating the works for "In Medias Res" but "Pandora" was the first song I've ever heard of hers, and it's my favorite so far. what does the title mean? I love the picture, as you may know, I've faved it. The hair is lovely, I am in awe with the circles of different colors in the hair. This is very pretty. Do you have it as a print? If not, I would love to see it as one, and add it too my wishlist, and hopefully, my living room wall.
